About the library
The Humanist Library and Archives at Conway Hall Ethical Society, located in Red Lion Square in Holborn, strives to be the national research library for Humanism and closely related subjects. It is the foremost resource of its kind in Europe and the only library in the UK solely dedicated to the collection of Humanist material. It is freely available to the general public.

Can I visit the library to view materials? Yes. The Library is open to the public, Sunday to Thursday, 10 am to 5 pm. Please note, due to staffing restrictions, readers are advised to make an appointment to ensure that the Library will be open when they plan to visit and that the material they seek is available. Appointments may be made by letter, phone or email. Readers are also requested to read the Library Rules before visiting.
